The Punctilious Mr. P's 'Signs of Spring' custom place card set was inspired by 18th century illustrations of the life cycle of butterflies and moths. This theme brings nature to your feast. It pairs beautifully with any color of table linens whether you choose to entertain indoors or al fresco in the garden with friends and family.
Customize your place cards with your guest's names. With numerous fonts to choose from, you can have your cards arrive perfectly calligraphed with your guest's names printed on the backs. That's one less thing for you to do, and it's complimentary for the first pack. We even include a blank card called "Try your hand" to test your writing instrument if you choose to write your names yourself, or send them out to your calligrapher.
Conversation Sparker:
Often we wonder what sets a butterfly apart from a moth. On the whole, moths are nocturnal while butterflies are diurnal, active during the day. They also differ while at rest. Butterflies usually fold their wings back, and moths spread their wings open and flat. Impress your friends when you tell them that their pupal stage is marked by moths making silken cocoons, while butterflies form chrysalises that are hard, smooth and silkless.
