Mr. P's Disco PlaylistWE LOVE DISCO! We were fortunate to have been born before disco became a cliché. The interesting thing about disco is that it lasted exactly one decade: 1970-1980. Disco came on the scene at a unique time in American history when both rich and poor, black and white, gay and straight all came together on the dance floor. The music of the era also defined a first, when the spotlight was no longer on the artist onstage, but on the audience on the dance floor playing out at New York's famed Studio 54. Artists like Nile Rodgers of CHIC defined the sound, which continues to this day in the form of modern dance music. Nile Rodgers is behind EVERYONE's sound today from Daft Punk to Lady Gaga. They all want that CHIC sound. Highlight: Love's Theme 1974 (Remastered with vocal), by Love Unlimited Orchestra (Barry White) |

Mr. P's Piano PlaylistWe LOVE the piano. The sound of the keys striking, the way it helps tell the story of the song is magical. This playlist is mostly comprised of songs from movie soundtracks which contain many of our favorite artist: Alexandre Desplat, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Johnny Greenwood, Jim Copperthwaite, Michael Nyman and of course Philip Glass. Highlight: Etude II, by Philip Glass

Mr. P's PURE Bill Evans PlaylistJazz pianist Bill Evans was one of THE MOST brilliant composers of his time. His story is also one of the most tragic. When you hear piano on Miles Davis' songs, it's usually Bill Evans. Chet Baker... it's Bill Evans. Cannonball Adderley... it's Bill Evans. When you listen to his music, you can literally hear him thinking through the next note with his fingers. He is an intellectual pianist, and one of the best. We're thrilled to introduce you to his music if you don't already know it. This playlist is PURE Bill Evans magic! We play Bill Evans late night, after all the guests have left but for a few, sitting around the fire and talking about the deeper intimacies of life, family and business with our inner tribe. Highlights: Peace Piece, and What Is There To Say?, by Bill Evans |

Mr. P's Speakeasy Swing PlaylistThis playlist was inspired by hanging out late nights at The Maker in Hudson, NY. Songs have that that "speakeasy" jass (jazz) sound from 1917 to 1939, that's reminiscent of prohibition days with a dash of devil may care thrown in from the swing era. Lots of Brass and Horns. Artists include Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, King Oliver, Bix Beiderbecke, Sidney Bichet, Artie Shaw, Fletcher Henderson among others. Highlight: Jumpin' At The Woodside by Count Basie

Mr. P's Xmas PlaylistMr. P's Christmas playlist has all the great classics and tons that are lesser know, but sure to fill your home with the holiday mood! Highlight: Carol of the Bells, by Bird and the Bees
