The Dahlia Pinnata is the dahlia at its most geological — densely layered, its petals packed so close they read almost as texture, the whole surface shifting between dark and light depending on where the light falls. In Agate Gray, the glaze is deep and speckled, mottled and mineral-rich like a piece of weathered stone pulled from a riverbed. Here in Old Chatham, dahlias bloom right into October when everything else has given up, and we love them for that stubborn persistence.
