Conversation Sparker:
With a fabled lifespan of a 1,000 years, Japanese folklore deems that one who folds 1,000 origami cranes (senbazuru) is granted a very special wish, in some circles, one is granted happiness and eternal good luck. Throughout Asia, cranes have come to symbolize longevity, good fortune and eternal youth. Being perennially monogamous, they also symbolize martial harmony.
