Some images take years to find.

They turn up where you would never think to look. In the margin of a wallpaper painted in Canton for a house in England. On a garden plan, its parterres still inked in green and rose. On the face of an envelope that crossed an ocean a century ago, the hand still legible.

Finding them is the patient part. The harder part is knowing which one belongs on a table. And that judgement defines Métier.

Four designs a year, each printed at our largest size, each with its provenance card. Four is not what we could make. It is what we choose to release.

Our founder Martin Cooper photographed these ocelot markings at Deyrolle in Paris, the cabinet of curiosities where nature and the decorative arts have kept company since 1831. Their tawny rosettes now run edge to edge across a personal note card, brought to order by diagonally clipped corners, a fine black border, and a gold cartouche bearing up to three initials. Offered in four monogram fonts, the design makes even a brief note feel considered—and unmistakably yours.

Your Monogram

• Personalize the front cartouche with a maximum of three initials
