The Pompom Zinnia arrived in our garden late in the season, when the bolder blooms had already spent themselves, and we fell for it immediately — that tight, globe-shaped head packed with small cupped petals, asking for nothing, offering everything. In Dusty Cobalt, the glaze is deep and speckled, each petal edge darkening toward near-black, the whole thing compact and self-contained as a thought not quite finished.
