The Obelisk Taper Candles in Juniper cast two faceted architectural tapers — the four-sided form drawn from the proportions of ancient monuments — in the deep, certain green of the winter tree: deliberate, not decorative. Available in 12-inch or 16-inch, the forest brought inside for the set table.

Juniper is the green that does not depend on the season. These Obelisk Tapers carry their classical four-sided form in a tone that suggests both the winter wreath and the garden in high summer — a green deep enough to hold its ground in candlelight without disappearing into shadow. They belong at the Christmas table, the Thanksgiving table, the midsummer dinner party when the herbs are still in the garden and the light holds until nine. Available in 12-inch or 16-inch.

A Note on Blooming

Our 100% pure beeswax candles are just that—pure, natural, and unadulterated. As such, you may notice a soft white cast develop over time, especially on dyed tapers. This is not a flaw, but rather a beautiful hallmark of authentic beeswax, known as “bloom.” It’s a natural phenomenon that occurs as the wax ages—proof of its purity.

Trim the Wick:

Always trim wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting.

Candle Safety:

Follow the 2-foot rule— don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the container.
